An additional supported plot file format is the Common Simulation Data Format (CSDF). This is considered to be obsolete but is still supported (for now) for backward compatibility. Originally, CSDF was generated by HSPICE and read by the WaveView plotting tool, and support provided interoperability between these two tools and WRspice. Presently (Dec. 2024) CSDF is not generated by HSPICE nor is it accepted by WaveView, however WaveView will now accept rawfiles, so can be used to view WRspice output.
In earlier releases of HSPICE, ``.options csdf=1'' and ``.options post=csdf'' would produce CSDF files.
If the file name is given an extension from among those listed below, CSDF output will be generated. Otherwise, rawfile format will be used. NOTE: CSDF is obsolete and no longer supported by HSPICE or WaveView.
.csdfThe N is an integer, and tr, ac, and sw correspond to transient, ac, and dc sweep results, respectively. This is the same convention as used by HSPICE when generating files for post-processing.
